Tenshen white wine
Smart Buys and #29 on Top 100 Wines of 2015 This is lush and powerful, offering fleshy
peach and apricot flavors at the core, with plenty of aromatic highlights, including orange
blossom and honeysuckle. The texture is appealingly smooth and mouthwatering, with the
complex details gaining momentum on the finish, where this reveals hints of dried spice and
green tea. Viognier, Roussanne, Grenache Blanc and Chardonnay.
91 points Wine Enthusiast Tropical fruit, white flower-flavored candies, aromatic heirloom
apples and a touch of honey come into crystalline focus on this wine by Joey Tensley and Alex
Importer and vintner Alex Guarachi teamed up with winemaker Joey Tensley to make this Santa Barbara red blend. A combination of Grenache, Syrah, Petite Sirah and Merlot, Tenshen is aged in oak to achieve a pleasant smoky flavor. The wine offers flavors of plum, black cherry and white pepper that culminate in a rich, bold finish. Pair it with savory mashed potatoes.
