Join us at our Friday Evening Wine Tasting. We are tasting…
Pikes Riesling “Hills & Valleys” comes from the cool climate of Clare Valley in South Australia. Henry Pike migrated to South Australia in the late 1800’s and first began a brewing company. However, today Henry’s great grandson Edgar, who was a vigneron and vineyard manager, along with his son Neil and Andrew are continuing their family tradition with Pikes Wines. Neil is chief winemaker and Andrew is the viticulturalist and they continuously produce quality handcrafted riesling that receives top accolades. It is clean, precise, and full of green apple and lemon/lime citrus flavors that have beautiful persistency coupled with subtle hints of mineral and wet slate. This is a fantastic, mouth-watering, bargain riesling at a mere 11.5% alcohol.
Stella Pinot Grigio
Stella means “Star” in Italian and this Pinot Grigio is handcrafted on the island of Sicily in Southern Italy. The island’s rich, clay soil vineyards, cool sea breezes, and warm sun provide for the perfect ripening of the grapes. The area’s picture perfect setting and ideal Mediterranean climate produce an elegant wine with notes of citrus and white peach. Stella has zesty acidity and a crisp, long finish on the palate. Enjoy as an aperitif, with light hors d’oeuvres, mild cheeses, light pasta dishes and salads.
Maria Mora Reserva
Maria Mora is made with the grape varieties Syrah, Touriga Nacional and Alicante Bouschet, with a period of 9 months in French oak barrels. It is a distinctive wine that combines hints of blackberries, coca and light toaty nots. The palate is full bodies with an excellent complexity and a long silky finish.
