Fifth Friday Potluck

Here’s what we are tasting with Mike from Freedom Distributors:

Frisk Riesling
This zippy Riesling is floral and weighted, with notes of lime sorbet, rose petals and a hint of fennel. With its racy verve, subtle complexity and just a tinge of sweetness, it’s a perfect companion for both sweet and spicy dishes…or simply on its own. Refreshingly complex on the palate, it will make you wonder how you emptied your glass so quickly-and have you reaching for another.

Jovino Pinot Gris
Classic Oregon Pinot Gris aromas of pear and green apple are balanced with ripe, floral peach and banana. Zesty lemon peel, green mango and apple keep the palate crisp and light with a long finish while ripe Asian pear and honey flavors fill the mid-palate and balance body. Stainless steel fermentation at cool temperatures focus the aromas and flavors of this multi-vineyard blend of Pinot Gris on bright fruit that represents Oregon’s Willamette Valley.

Elicio Rose’
Grape Blend : Cinsaut-Grenache, Food Pairing: Salads and Green Vegetables, Wine Style: Rose-Crisp and Dry. Cinsaut – Grenache blends are made up of two important grape varieties from southern France, and are vinified as either red or rosé wines. The two varieties have much in common; both Grenache and Cinsaut are lighter bodied than other Rhone varieties, have strong resistance to droughts, and perform best when overcropping is avoided

Mas Donis
Medium ruby with violet shades: very nice glycerin mouth feeling and texture: wild red and black berry flavors, cherry, spices and herbs: well integrated elegant smooth vanilla oaky toasty notes; ripe mouthful and complex on the palate: leads of sweet vibrant fruit: medium to full-bodies with soft and velvet tannins and nicely refreshing finish.
